About The Author

Anne Creevy
Anne has always loved birds, and, since her retirement from elementary school teaching in 2000, she has been able to dedicate herself more consistently to studying them. Birding classes and field trips in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as trips to other states have helped her increase her knowledge of and enthusiasm for birds.

While still teaching, Anne wrote a First Grade science curriculum about birds that is still being used by her school district. She also wrote a curriculum about mammals as a result of the information gained over a 20 year period as a docent at the San Francisco Zoo.

Anne loves working with young children, writing and painting. This book gave her the chance to combine her interests.

Jan Reeves
Jan teaches art to children and has taught in both public and private schools. Her enthusiasm for art is contagious. She kindly illustrated the people for this book.
